For many years, I have photographed architecturally defined spaces and the elements which inhabit them.
These photographs are of quiet, seemingly unremarkable landscapes. Their inspiration is derived from the notion that all things, however grand or plain, are equivalent…within them may be distilled great complexity and emotion.
My tendency is to wander, collecting visual references to the environments from which these images are taken. This selection includes images of places which I frequent, seen at varying times of year in different situations and with myself in disparate moods.
Final prints are ink on paper, 17½" x 24".
